Artists
Nicola Leader - a local artist who lives and works near Netherbury exhibits her work at various events in Bridport and Beaminster. The drawings of the different locations around Netherbury are some of her work and were kindly were contributed to this website.
Nicholas Harbron of Beaminster has spent the last 15 years designing, making and repairing stained glass and leaded light windows. He recently gained a Level 3 Vocational Qualification in Glass processing from Salisbury College where he was selected as the group’s ‘Student of the Year’. Following on from that he was chosen to represent the south west colleges at a special award ceremony on the 22nd June 2011 where he was presented with a second award by Lord Kenneth Baker at Westminster College, London.
Over the years he has been involved in major conservation and restoration projects at a number of National Trust properties, St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle and Christchurch Priory. Nick has also played a major part in glazing the Great West window at Sherborne Abbey – one of the late John Hayward’s masterpieces.

Photography
Colin Varndell is a wildlife photographer and writer. His photographs are regularly used in books, magazines, calendars, postcards, conservation journals, leaflets and exhibitions. He is the author of “Wildlife in the West Country” and writes features on both nature and photography topics for a variety of national and regional magazines.
Colin’s work includes photographs for “Living Britain”, a BBC book accompanying the television series in which his garden is featured, and a “highly commended” award for a photograph of early purple orchids in the 16th BG Wildlife Photographer of the year competition, sponsored jointly by the Natural History Museum and the BBC Wildlife Magazine. A traditional unspoilt country inn with a large garden, stunning views and a separate play area for children. It has a cosy bar, friendly atmosphere and log fire in Winter and a patrons car park for pub walks. The pub is open on Monday, Wednesday to Saturday from 12 noon – 2.30 pm and Monday to Saturday 6.30pm to close, Sunday 12 noon – 3 pm and 7 pm to close.
The pub serves a tempting menu of hot and cold home cooked food including bar snacks and daily specials – BOOKING IS RECOMMENDED.
The pub is closed Tuesday lunchtime and no food is served Sunday evening.

Can we somehow let people know via this web site what is happening.
It is a bit of a saga -there is a new timetable in the bus shelter but ,as yet, it is not very reliable.More details from harvey@wdi.co.uk
